Meeting Opened at 6:15PM

 

  1. Indoor practices at Oakland Yard.  Mark Krupiak placed item on table for discussion.  Some teams said they could not make the 5:00-6:30PM slot consistently.  Decision was made to create 4week blocks of time, and split the practices between 5:00-6:30 and 6:30-8:00 blocks.  Item was agreed upon and schedule was made at meeting.  (Schedule is listed on Warriors website...schedule.

  2. Secretary and Treasurer position descriptions were reviewed and accepted.  Position descriptions available on web on the Contacts page - just click on the position name.

  3. Director position reviewed.  Kevin added some responsibilities.  Being updated for the web.  Click on Director ad on main page or Director title on the contacts page.

  4. Referee mix-up:  It was brought to our attention that there was a mix-up in scheduling ref's for a game.  Ref's showed up at fields but no teams were present.  Kevin motioned that we pay ref's anyways from the club account.  Dave 2nd.  Motion carried.

  5. Lex needed a signed copy of the WWSC bylaws for the MYSL Delegates meeting on the 23rd.  Provided by secretary.

  6. Meet the Warriors at Kettering/Mott game:  Dave motioned to split the donation between the Kettering and Mott soccer programs for their banquets.  Motion carried to donate $125.00 to each team.

  7. Nominations taken for secretary and treasurer positions.  Larry Carpenter and Lex Loza nominated for secretary.  Paul Wilkie, Marty Nunold, and Rick Schoonover nominated for treasurer.  Larry Carpenter and Paul Wilkie chosen for spots.  Motions to accept carried.

  8. Lex brought up the item of the Nov. 8th tournament meeting in Plymouth, Michigan.  Need to be present to secure the 2004 Waterford Cup slot.  $500 bond fee, $250 processing fee, copy of tournament rules needed for meeting.  Tentative dates for 2004 Waterford Cup are August 6, 7, and 8.  Rick Schoonover (93G) nominated for tournament director position, and Diane Dorantes (93B) nominated for tournament registrar positions.  Motions carried.

  9. Lex brought up the item to select the 2004 June tryout dates so they can be used in the Parks and Rec catalog ad and the state soccer magazine announcing the tryouts and the tournament.  Open tryouts will begin on June 15th with the youngest teams going first.  Suggestion made to hold the tryouts at the Civic Center fields instead of the Elks Lodge.  Carried item forward to next meeting.

  10. Meet the Warriors event dates being solidified with Philip Douse at Oakland Yard, since they are donating the time.  Possible dates:  Jan 14 or 15, Jan 21 or 22, or Jan 28 or 29.  To be determined.  Carried item forward to next meeting.

  11. Lex brought up the uniform committee final formation.  Need for coach sponsor.  Mark Krupiak volunteered to lead committee as sponsor.  Committee members: Wendy Eaglen (87boys), Diane Dorantes (93boys), Rob Rhoades (94girls), Marty Nunold (90/92 boys), Jennifer Krupiak (94boys).  Carried item forward to next meetings for status.

  12. Road Rally is on for spring.  Further info and dates to follow.  If we are to keep this going, need more team participation!  It raises much needed funds, as well as being a fun time.  Tentative dates being discussed:  Apr 24th.  Carried forward to next meeting for status.

  13. Lex and Mark brought up the upcoming meeting with the Parks and Rec administrators (Tom Newcombe, Mark Disanto, and Mike Eberle) on November 10th at 5:30pm at the Parks and Rec bldg.  Discussion will center around the facilities contract proposal for the WWSC from the township.  Carried forward to next meeting for status.

  14. Larry Carpenter will continue pursuing property for the Warriors to buy or lease for a soccer complex.  Carried forward to next meeting for status. 

  15. During the meeting, Dave Block announced to the club that the WYSL (Waterford Youth Soccer League) has been dissolved for all intensive purposes.  WWSC is currently affiliated through the MYSL currently.  Further clarification of this matter, including liquidation of assets and insurance coverage clarification needed.  Due to this fact, the interviews for the Director position were placed on hold pending clarification and update of the bylaws if needed.

  16. Next meeting set for Monday November 17th at 7:00PM at the CAI bldg.
