Meeting called to order: 6:40pm 

  1. Treasurer’s report – no report this month.
  1. Goal Keeper camp with Mark Hamilton.  August 16-18, 2004.  Cost: $100/player.  Motion placed on floor for WWSC to pick up cost for two players to attend from each team, teams that cannot participate would be given option to receive training in Winter or Spring from Goal Keeper coach.  Motion (D. Block), Second (L. Carpenter).  Motion carried.
  1. D. White presented proposal for referee training to enhance call making ability.  10 hour course over three consecutive days.  K. Wyclif instructing.  WWSC to pick up cost for Waterford referees to attend OPTIONAL course up to $350 total, or $25 per referee.  Motion (K. Larkin), Second (D. Block).  Motion carried.
  1. Randy Callahan - coaching application acceptance for 96 Boys second team.  Motion (L. Carpenter), Second (H. Schreefel).  Motion carried.  Randy is now a WWSC coach.
  1. Kerry Poppenhagen aboard to discuss strength, agility, and conditioning training services.  Presented various options for improving player performance.  Includes individual or team training, weeklong or longer programs.  248-421-8129 for more information.
  1. L. Loza and M. Krupiak will continue as Parks and Rec liaisons for coming year.  2005 tryout request for Center fields, Fall 2004 field usage requests, and 2005 tournament field request are currently queued with the Parks and Rec folks for acceptance. 
  1. Team names and formation of teams when multiple teams of players exist at the same age group.  Discussion on topic.  Subcommittee formed to make recommendation for new bylaw to: 1) Address the names of the teams when multiple teams at the same age group, 2) Address the method of formation of teams when multiple teams will exist at the same age group.  Subcommittee appointed: T. Williams, K. Larkin, and L. Loza.  Report at July meeting.
  1. Disposition of 96 Girls team discussed.  Options being considered, including coaching candidates.  Team should be registered by July 7th deadline.
  1. Checked the available Fall 2004 MYSL registration packets.  Turned in completed ones.  Identified updates for others.  All due to Larry Carpenter for registration on July 7th.
